Reading Racks

Racks for exercise machines can hold books, tablets, e-readers, or even laptops

....
A few pages ago, I wrote about how I felt exercise machines like treadmills, ellipticals and stationary bikes were boring and how music or videos could help.  Some people are also comfortable reading while riding an exercise bike or elliptical and reading can also make the time go faster.  I used to have a client in the gym who walked on the treadmill while holding a book in his hands.  He never missed a step but I don’t know how he did it.  I tried it and found it impossible and I do not recommend it.

But there are book racks that you can put on a your exercise bike or on an elliptical or even on a treadmill.  The picture above shows a plastic book holder that I have on my recumbent cross trainer.  I find that it holds a book, a magazine or a small tablet or an
e-reader quite well.  It was easy to install; it just sits over the control module.

I bought my book rack from a company called SourceOne. It is called a Treadmill Book Holder but it can be used on many types of exercise equipment, not just treadmills. SourceOne makes several models.  You can see all the models on their website. You can buy directly from their website or from Amazon. Try a treadmill reading rack, it's an inexpensive exercise aid.
