Programs

These pages will describe

some unique programs.

.....
The next few pages will discuss some unique programs that are designed to help older adults stay active and strong.

Conductorcise is a program started by David Dworkin, a classically-trained clarinetist and conductor who has combined his musical knowledge with his enthusiastic teaching style to produce a unique exercise program.

Geri-Fit is a progressive strength training programs created by Francesca Fischer to increase strength, flexibility, mobility, and balance in older adults.

The Silver Sneakers fitness program is an insurance benefit included in some Medicare Advantage health plans that provides a gym membership, usually at no cost.

I will also review special fitness centers for older adults like the one I formerly ran called The Reconstruction Zone.  Although our fitness center is closed, Miracles, Club 50, Welcyon, and Nifty after 50 are fitness centers especially designed for older adults that operate across the United States.  If I can visit some of these I will add more detailed information on the page called Special Fitness Centers.
