Nifty after Fifty

Centers offering fitness programs and physical therapy

"Nifty after Fifty" is the name of a chain of fitness centers founded by a physician, Dr. Sheldon S Zinberg, in Whittier California in 2006.  Their website says that they provide "clinically supervised full-body training programs for mature adults.  They now have 29 locations in California, Arizona, and Nevada.  I have not visited any of their sites but I hope to soon.  There is one in San Jose, California about 45 miles away from my home.

So, I only know what I can see on their website and in their videos but it looks like an excellent program.  I can see from the videos that they have great equipment for strength training and aerobics.  And they seen to run some innovative classes, like the "Power Saber" workout that fosters balance and flexibility and the wheelchair volleyball played with a large beach ball.  The classes look like well-planned fun and clever exercise.

I will write more after I get a chance to visit.
